As soon as I started reading, I was home again: Holly, husband Steve, Rowdy and Kimi and all the other dogs of the pack, best friend Rita, neighbor Kevin and his mother, Holly's eccentric father Buck and her ever-patient stepmother Gabrielle. The story was compelling and even if there hadn't been a mystery in it, I would have lovingly followed this book to the end. A good book but it needs a better proofreader. I couldn't put this book down, and I can't ever remembering feeling that way about a political book. Will be reading Stone Rain as soon as I finish this review.

The reason I waited to review the books till I got thru with this one is because I barely stopped long enough between books to think about a review. The cover is beautiful and I love having verses already categorized.
